The house on Calle Real

Halfway up Calle Real, where Frigiliana's white lanes smell of jasmine, El Casino opens its green doors every evening. Inside, a dining room of regulars; outside, a terrace that hangs over the valley — the village rooftops below, the sea on the horizon.

The kitchen cooks the Axarquía: kid goat in saffron sauce, Iberian pork with the village's sweet wine, vegetables from the valley. Dogs are welcome on the terrace — they get their own water bowl without asking.

“An excellent restaurant — the food was delicious and the staff attentive at all times, and from the terrace you have impressive views.”

“We were clear we wanted to try the choto if we came to Frigiliana — it did not disappoint.”
